Free Spirit Film Festival
It’s been 20 years of the Free Spirit Film Festival, and we are still the smallest film festival in the world! But the efforts and endeavours have never been small – and putting the Festival together has always been a labour of love.
We are happy and proud to present some very unique and enchanting films from around the world in this year’s Festival. It will be a rare treat to watch these films, as they will never be seen at any regular theatre.
The Festival will be held from 29 to 31 October at the Hawaiian Sanctuary in Pahoa, in the East of Hawai’i, aka the Big Island. We will be screening nine films each evening from 6:00 pm. The line-up is listed below.
It was not easy to turn down many of the submissions. We can see the love and labour all the filmmakers have put in their works, but time and the space only allowed so many that we could select. We hope they understand these limitations, and wish them success with all their endeavours.
We are ready for the Festival, and confident that the 20th edition will be an enriching and memorable experience.
