Support Regenerative Education, Culture & Wellness in Hawai‘i

Hawaiian Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit eco-retreat, permaculture education center, and cultural learning hub in the heart of Puna, Hawai‘i Island. For over twenty years, we’ve empowered local and global communities through regenerative agriculture, holistic wellness, and Native Hawaiian cultural education.

A Living Classroom for Regenerative Living & Cultural Revitalization

Our 44-acre campus is a demonstration site for sustainable living, Native Hawaiian land stewardship, and community-based wellness practices. Through workshops, internships, farm programs, and cultural events, we support youth, families, individuals, and Native Hawaiian practitioners dedicated to ecological resilience, food sovereignty, and cultural revitalization.

Puna District, a rural and underserved area, has faced environmental and economic disruption — from volcanic activity to limited access to food, healthcare, and cultural resources. Many residents lack opportunities for regenerative agriculture training, holistic healing, or access to Native Hawaiian knowledge systems. Our programs address food insecurity, youth disconnection, and cultural loss by combining organic farming, cultural revitalization, and healing practices.
