Sep 21 @ 8:15 am – 9:45 am

Every weekday and Saturday morning, teachers from KupuKupu Center will guide students on deep, relaxing and energizing yoga flows to get their day started off right! After yoga, swing by the Laka Lounge for sunrise smoothies, teas and healthful breakfast treats!

connie yoga

Connie Cappos has been studying and practicing yoga for 20 years, and in 2009 was called upon to share her practice with others as a teacher.

In her classes she combines a practice of Hatha yoga, Pranayamas (Breathwork), Kriyas (cleansing), Qi Gong (energy healing), and Yoga Therapy.

After years on staff at Yoga Oasis retreat center, she started the community yoga program in Pahoa at the Kupukupu Center for Arts and Healing which made yoga available to everyone regardless of skill level or ability to pay. Kupukupu lost its space due to the lava flow that effected Pahoa and partnered with Hawaiian Sanctuary where the program continues.

Her multi-level classes encourage personal exploration and acceptance in a fun and safe environment.

Her multi-level classes encourage personal exploration and acceptance in a fun and safe environment.

sarahSarah Goldman was born on this beautiful Big Island with a love of movement. Gymnastics and dance were two of her favorite things until she discovered yoga. Yoga has been a huge blessing in her life. She studied Ashtanga yoga with Colee Garr and Noah Williams, Acroyoga with Jenny and Jason and received her 200 hour certification under Heather Heintz.

Sarah is enormously grateful for the opportunity to share her love of practice with others. As a teacher she aims to give students an enjoyable experience so that they may be inspired and encouraged to begin their own love affair with yoga.
